5 June - we discussed why the people of Israel are God's Chosen People, why they are hated today, biblical
and historical references desrcibing how the different nations began and why they are different. In addtion we discussed
who killed Jesus, and how the Jewish people have been blamed for years.
12 June - we discussed some of the issues that were brought up during one of our last
gatherings. We talked about the universal church and the local church. We also talked about some reasons to belong
to a local Christian church.
19 June - we discussed "Opportunites". We took some excerpts from a Campus Crusade Lesson and
used it to foucs our discussions. We talked about opportunites that we have had in the past and some that may be available
in the future. We focused on how God used Esther to seize the opportunity to save the Jewish people. Would we
have made the same decision? What if we found out that all Christians would be killed next year? What would WE
do?
NEXT Gathering July 3: We will discuss homosexuality and the church. Do we tolerate or confront? Do
we hate or love? Is it an unforgivalbe sin or one of many?
What does God want us to do?
If times permits we may lightly discuss different denominations and how their answers may differ from the Bible.
See you there....
